How I Discovered Dentistry

I discovered that I wanted to become a dentist at 27. Before then, at the age of 23, I purchased a business in the automotive industry just before the Great Recession of 2008. Due to struggles through the Great Recession, I realized I needed to change my focus and change my career. This led me down the path to pre-medical and pre-dental education. My brother-in-law at the time was in dental school; after discussing with him as well as shadowing other dentists, I knew dentistry was the career for me. I always knew I wanted to be in a service industry, and what better way than to provide excellent oral health and dental care in the communities that I serve?

About My Career

I received my undergraduate degree from Glendale Community College and Arizona State University and attended dental school at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Arizona. I am a CDOCS mentor, which stands for CEREC Doctors. This is the technology we use to create everything from same-day crowns and implant crowns to night guards, dentures, and clear aligners. Being a mentor gives me access to a wealth of continuing education opportunities that include returning to help the instructors teach other doctors, as well.

I am a delegate for the Grays Harbor Dental Society with the Washington State Dental Association. This allows me to be involved with the political side of dentistry, letting our voices be heard and fighting for all of the patients of Grays Harbor and the State of Washington. I am a proud member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

My most rewarding thing about dentistry is being able to provide smiles that patients are thrilled with and seeing their face light up when they're satisfied with their smiles. I enjoy being able to provide many different types of procedures for my patients

Why I Love Grays Harbor

When my wife and I were looking for a location to live and raise our kids, we were looking for an area with trees, mountains, and large bodies of water. Well, we found that in spades here in Grays Harbor County! We've always loved traveling and camping in forested areas, and now we get to live in, or at least be within minutes of beautiful, forested areas. We are happy to be a part of the community and look forward to all of the many years to come for our family here in Grays Harbor!

  • I like all music, but country is my most listened to.
  • Korean food is my favorite.
  • I’m a huge fan of the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Cardinals, sorry Seahawk fans!
  • I love taking my wife and three kids to Disney every chance we get!
